Decoration trends: they’re constantly changing. But don’t worry, here at Vision in White we’ve got the latest scoop of decor do’s and don’ts. When it comes to the reception, you can’t go wrong with traditional reception decorations, but don’t be afraid to go out of the box and do something new and creative! The reception is area where you and your new spouse can really let your personalities ~pop~!
We’ve been scrolling around on Pinterest and this fun little trend just keeps popping up on our feed. That’s right, balloons.
And, no, we’re not talking your typical kiddie balloons that you’d expect to see at your niece’s birthday party. The balloons that we’ll be showing you are stand out decoration pieces that will make a statement at any reception!
Decoration Idea One: Floral
Let your balloons be a simple accent to your florals and center pieces. Try and go for more neutral colors, or colors that match your theme.
You can never go wrong with clear confetti balloons!! The fun ivy detailing, rather than a typical string, makes the overall look more mature and classy.
And if you’re worried that this might create too much of summery look, you can absolutely transition this trend into fall and winter. Think about which florals you’re pairing with your balloons. Plus, you don’t have to use white balloons, you can always go for shades of gold and other deep fall colors!
Decor Idea Two: For the Cake
Metallics are still S-U-P-E-R in!! And that doesn’t just mean silver and gold!! Rose-gold always creates a romantic, feminine touch.
A simple balloon arch is easy to achieve and is a wonderful way to spice up your cake or dessert table! The mix of rose gold balloons alongside white, and gold confetti creates a very eye-catching piece that is easily muted by adding pieces of greenery.
White balloons are a classic. We love this table set up!! The tulle, fairy-light, and flowers help create a dreamy, romantic look and the balloons add just a touch of whimsy! This would be such a great table for sweets or cake!
You could also recreate the look at the head table, and instead of having a bunch of white balloons floating above, have ‘His and Her’s’ balloons tied to the back of your chairs!!
Decoration Idea Three: Pictures
Will you and your guests be snapping pictures all night? Probably. Unless you want to invest in a photo booth, you might want to think of another fun and unique way for people to take photos.
Balloons can provide an excellent backdrop for that!
The neon lights and different sized balloons are an adorable way to make a barn wall go from drab to fab within a matter of minutes!
Decor Idea Four: Exit
Want an exit that really is memorable? Sure, sparklers are a classic, but LED balloons–that is something new!
There are several different ways of achieving the whimsical photo above. There are some balloons available for purchase that already have an LED light feature in them. Pretty nifty, welcome to the 21st century!
However if you can’t find these, or you want a different aesthetic, something a little more delicate, you can always use fairy-lights.
Colored fairy lights are a hit too!
We hope you found some good inspiration with this fun trend! Can’t wait to see it popping up more and more!
