We are starting a brand new category of blog posts! Checking in with our past couples and seeing how their lives have changed since their wedding day is so rewarding. Today we are catching up with one of our very first couples, Hailee and Dan Hamby!
Q: What was your wedding date and location? How long have you been married?
We got married on August 10, 2013 at the W.O. Smith Music School in Nashville, TN. It’s been 7 years!
Q: What planning package did you book with Vision in White?
We booked the Wedding Management package.
Q: What was your favorite part of planning your wedding?
I’ve always been described as an old-soul, so planning my wedding and marrying old traditions and family memories to our ceremony and reception was important and fun for me (and my mom, who spent countless hours helping me).
Q: What did you stress about during planning that you wish you hadn’t?
I stressed about the details of the wedding. In fact, I remember the anxiety I had about receiving RSVPs.
Q: What do you remember most about your wedding day?
F-U-N! Having all of our friends and family come together for a big celebration of love. My family and friends are from the Midwest and Dan’s family and friends are from the South, so it was the first time many of them were all together.
Q: What would you have changed about your wedding planning or wedding day?
Honestly, I wish I had booked a package that included Alex and team for more services and engaged with them earlier in the process. The last month was a breeze because of them!
Q: What are some exciting life updates since you got married?
Our life has been a whirlwind since we got married! We’ve had two beautiful girls, Olive (5) and Opal (2). We have made two, big out of state moves (BNA > DAL > ICT). We have battled cancer and won. Dan and I have both seen professional growth. Recently, we started our own rental business, and bought a small vacation home near a lake to make more memories with our families. We can’t wait to see what the future holds.

Q: What advice would you give couples that are currently planning their wedding?
When you begin to feel overwhelmed, take a moment to remember that at the end of day, whether, if or when something goes wrong, you will still be married to the love of your life.
