We’ve had so much fun checking in with some of our early Vision in White couples and this week is no exception. On today’s blog, we’re getting a life update from Katrina and Michael Spencer and their take on their wedding planning experience with Vision in White.
Q: What was your wedding date and location? How long have you been married?
We got married on September 25, 2015 at the Cordelle in Nashville, TN . We just recently celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary and 10 years together.
Q: What planning package did you book with Vision in White?
Q: What was your favorite part of planning your wedding?
I loved planning every aspect of my wedding, as I tried to incorporate my family background, my husband’s family cultural traditions/ background and tried to make it as relaxing of a day as possible.
Most of my wedding was easy as I worked in the F&B industry at the time and utilized several connections for the big day. But for all the communication, every arrangement, and attention to the small details . . . well I couldn’t of done it without Alex K., my wedding planner. She truthfully was a lifesaver especially on the big day when it rained and she rearranged the whole ceremony without causing me any added stress or anxiety.
Q: What did you stress about during planning that you wish you hadn’t?
I didn’t stress a ton, but that’s also because I utilized everyone I knew in the industry of F&B, so I had that part cut out for me.
I guess the biggest stress “er” of my wedding was fitting into my dress as we found out I was pregnant 1.5 months before the big day! Haha best surprise of our lives!
Q: What do you remember most about your wedding day?
All the love and quality time I got to spend with family and friends. It was truly a day which my husband and I felt was perfectly celebrated.
Q: What would you have changed about your wedding planning or wedding day?
Probably should have planned a weather back-up plan more thoroughly. It ended up raining on the day of my outdoor wedding and so the aisle and alter had to be moved inside at the last minute and I wish I would have been more prepared for the transition.
Q: What are some exciting life updates since you got married?
We have been blessed with two children, Brinley and Aiden, and have been having a blast growing our family together in the city we love, Nashville!
Q: What advice would you give couples that are currently planning their wedding?
Plan your day how you and your significant other want it. Remember this day is just about you and your significant other. Intimacy is what the day is all about and should be the main focus.
