Vendor Spotlight – Please Be Seated Rentals

You’re finally here: the perfect dress, venue and… rentals? You can’t forget about your guests when planning a wedding! Tables and chairs might not be the first on your planning to-do list, but rentals are key to pulling off the wedding of your dreams. For this week, we interviewed Please Be Seated, a Nashville luxury event rental company. There is nothing that Please Be Seated can’t do – the only limit is your imagination! Their team is hardworking, creative and ready to get to work; we had a great time interviewing their sales manager, Margaret Andrews.

For our Vendor Spotlights, we ask someone in the company to explain their job and general tasks performed throughout a wedding/planning. We strive to educate our customers, as well as educate ourselves on the amazing vendors we have the privilege of working with! Here is what Margaret had to say about working with Please Be Seated:

1.) What Did You Want to Be When You Grew Up?

When I was younger, I changed my mind probably every month, but my two main loves (primarily hobbies) are interior design and organization (the Home Edit is 100% my favorite Instagram account).

2.) What Does a Typical Day Look Like for You/The Business?

The majority of my day consists of client meetings, while the other portion is full of creating design boards, creating and updating contracts, and trying to minimize my e-mail count! The other, less glamorous, part of Please Be Seated is the logistics/operations side. We would be nothing without our amazing Ops crew!

3.) How Did You Get Into the Business of Rentals?

I kind of fell into it, honestly. I’m a yes person, so when an opportunity comes my way, I can’t help myself by participating. I’ve had experience with florals, catering, venue management, and some planning – venue rentals is where I found one of my favorite pieces of the event world to stay!

4.) How Long Have You Been in this Business?

3+ years including internships.

5.) What Made You Decide to Get Into this Business?

I felt as this industry was a great compliment to my strengths and personal interests as well as schooling.

6.) What is Your Favorite Part of the Wedding Day/Event?

As a vendor, my favorite part is seeing the space when it’s set. It’s inspiring to see a wedding planner’s vision come together. I also love seeing something different – a customized bar, unique escort wall, the options are endless! However, as a guest, my favorite part is either when the couple is saying their vows, or when the bride walks down the aisle (i.e. zoom into the groom’s reaction) – cliche I know, but touching nonetheless! When your business is events 24/7, it’s important to stop and remember that you are part of a once in a lifetime moment for a client whether it be for a wedding or other social event.

7.) If You Could Go Anywhere Tomorrow, Where Would You Go?

Greece hands down! I also want to visit Portugal in the near future. Heading back to Barcelona would be a dream too. I could go on for days…. I absolutely love to travel.

8.) And Finally, What is Your Spirit Animal?

A dog maybe? I love any and all dogs, maybe not as much as our Director of Sales, Summer Jones, but a pretty close second.
