Nashville Wedding Recap – Emily & Jack

On August 26, 2016, the Vision in White team helped kick off Emily and Jack’s marriage with their wedding at Nashville’s beautiful and historic Belle Meade Plantation.

Preparation

The day began at noon when Emily and her bridesmaids arrived at BlowoutCo. for hair and makeup.
Emily’s soft curls and natural makeup paired with her elegant lace dress transformed the already stunning Emily into a bride that radiated confidence and happiness.
While Emily and her girls were getting glam, Jack and his groomsmen also readied themselves for the big day.

First Look

Emily only continued to shine as she and Jack shared their first look. The couple, who had been anxiously awaiting this moment all day, had nothing but smiles and laughter when they finally revealed themselves to each other in the gardens of the plantation.

 Wedding Photos

Following photos of the bride and groom, it was time for the rest of the wedding party and family to join them. The grounds at Belle Meade Plantation make for amazing photos and the photographers at Nashville Wedding Collection always capture it perfectly. The photo below of Emily, her mother and grandmother is so precious!
First Emily is captured with the other beautiful women in her life, who are all dressed in corresponding tones of muted blush. Then, Jack joins them for more pictures.
Next, Jack and his groomsmen take some serious… and not so serious pictures. All of Jack’s best buds are wearing matching light pink boutonnieres and navy bowties that contrast Jack’s grey necktie.

Wedding Decor

The decor at the wedding while sophisticated, was also simple — the perfect combination to accent Emily and Jack’s spectacular wedding day.

Emily and Jack had quite the creative spin on a traditional wedding guest book. Their wedding guests were encouraged to leave their thumbprints along with a doodle and a personalized message for the newlyweds. Emily and Jack’s guest book will definitely bring them fond memories for years to come.

Wedding Ceremony

At 5:30 the ceremony began and Jack eagerly awaited his beautiful bride to walk down the aisle.

Finally, Emily walked down the aisle and toward her groom with both of her parents at her side. We love this added touch of including the mother in this important part of the ceremony.

Unity Tree

Perhaps the most memorable moment of Emily and Jack’s ceremony was the unity tree. Together the couple planted a tree — Jack poured the soil, and Emily, the water. Planting the tree was a symbol of the love that they are cultivating, and the tree’s continued growth is a symbol of their love’s endurance.

Wedding Reception

Hand-in-hand, Emily and Jack arrive at their reception and danced their way through a human tunnel made up by their wedding party.

After dinner and toasts, the newly-married couple shares their first dance to Reuben Koops’ “Two Little Words”.

Next, Emily and her dad danced together to “I Loved Her First” by Heartland, followed by a dance between Jack and his mother to Lee Ann Womack’s “I Hope You Dance”.

After the first dances concluded, wedding guests joined in on the dancing and Emily and Jack spent the rest of the evening celebrating their new marriage surrounded by the people they love the most.
We are absolutely thrilled for Emily and Jack and are so thankful they asked us to be a part of their special day!
