Margo and John were such a sweet couple to work with and we love recapping their wedding day to share with you! They were married on September 26th at The Hermitage: Cabin by the Spring.
Pre-Ceremony
The day started out with hair and makeup in The Hermitage board room for Margo and her Maid of Honor and sister, Liz. John and his Best Man, Robert arrived while Margo put on her dress and had some finishing touches done.
Photographer, Katie Hamilton took some photos of the bride and groom with their wedding party before the ceremony started. The gorgeous, bright colored flowers were done by Belles Fleurs.
Margo’s dress was pretty and unique, like something we haven’t seen before and it fit her personality perfectly. The veil added a touch of classic and traditional beauty.
Wedding Ceremony
Margo and John said their vows under one of the beautiful trees in front of the Cabin with The Hermitage Mansion in the background.
Cocktail Hour
Following the ceremony, the guests headed inside for cocktail hour which was held on the terrace of the Cabin and was decorated with beautiful hydrangeas in mason jars. Drinks and hors d’oeuvres were served by the delicious B&C Catering including hickory smoked jalapenos and bacon wrapped sausage balls.
While the guests were mingling inside, Katie captured some gorgeous photos of the newly married couple around the grounds of the Hermitage.
Wedding Reception
The reception was beautiful and bright with a hint of country rustic. Bonnie from Belles Fleurs did such an amazing job with the centerpieces. Some of the round table centerpieces had wooden boxes filled with flowers while others had rustic style lanterns surrounded with eucalyptus and vines. There was another room, reserved for family that had farm tables with glass bottles in a variety of shapes grouped together and filled with flowers.
Not only did B&C Catering serve delicious hors d’oeuvres, but they also served a decadent buffet style dinner with brisket, turkey, baked beans and mac and cheese. After dinner, special dances were shared before opening the dance floor to the guests. Rain came pouring down outside, but that didn’t stop them from dancing the night away!
Cake cutting and toasts were next! The tasty cake was a product of Twisted Fig. Look at that stunning detail work! Margo’s sister had lost her voice throughout the day and made it about halfway through her speech before she handed off the mic to her friend to finish.
As the night came to an end, it was time to send the happy couple off with one of our favorite exits, with bubbles!
Margo and John, it was an absolute pleasure working with you and we wish you both the best for a long and happy marriage!
