Sarah and Phil’s wedding day began on February 3, 2018 at the lovely Long Hollow Gardens. Sarah was stunning and simply elegant in her simple, backless, white wedding dress.
Getting Ready
The Bride and Groom excitedly began to get dressed and ready for their first look while they’re wedding party continued to get ready, awaiting their photo time.
First Look
Phil was patiently waiting to see his beautiful bride! The chemistry these two shared was very contagious, just like Sarah’s smile in this photo! First look photos are always a special time for the couple to share their emotions with one other in a little alone time on such a busy day!
Bride and Groom Photos
This couple took a stroll for some of their photos together and joyfully expressed their love for one another. Candid photos always make for the sweetest pictures! We love how graceful her shawl is draped across her shoulders blocking the small chill in the February air!
Some black and white photos seem to capture the stillness and love such as this one…stunning right?!
Wedding Party Photos
The bridesmaid all wore long neutral dresses of different styles and color that brought such variety to their look as a whole. This small bridal party left no fun behind, they brought such joy to the day for Sarah and Phil and made it that much more special!
Friends like these are hard to beat! We are LOVING the color contrast these men decided to go with for their tuxes! This is such a fun way to bring in a pop of color for the groom!
Ceremony Details
Sarah’s bouquet designed by Vision in White Events featured greenery and herbs which made it smell amazing! A small amount of white lisianthus brought in the bridal look and was the perfect greenery bouquet.
This venue has a unique greenhouse style and scene which makes the experience here very original and natural. The space is filled with trees and shrubs that can be used to decorate your space.
Ceremony
The importance of family to both Sarah and Phil was made clear and precious! Both the mother and father of Sarah and Phil walked with them down the aisle as they entered at the same time. It was so refreshing to see them step out of the tradition box a little bit and try something new!
Sarah’s joyful and loving eyes for Phil show the true connection between these two!
Sarah and Phil included a handfasting ceremony in their vows, where they bound their hands together to symbolize their connection and devotion to one another. Each cord and color represents something whether it be sharing each other dreams, taking on each others burdens, promising to bring each other joy, etc and in this particular case, different members of their family presented them with each cord.
And then they were one! Mr. and Mrs. at last!
Reception Details
The string lights hung above the lush greenery seemed as though stars in the sky when it became dark out and made for a beautiful reception!
The simplicity of the flowers and decor matched with the overall feel of the wedding which was focused on their love for one another.
Reception
The first dance as husband and wife is also such a timeless photo to be made in black and white. Look at the way he gazes at her!
Tossing olive branch leaves for the newlyweds was another small detail that tied in their theme as they are sent away by their loved ones for a lifetime of happiness together!
