Today’s wedding recap is all about Alex and Blake and their special day! On June 10, 2017, they were married and began their journey of life together. We were so excited to be a part of all of it with them!
Getting Ready
The couple began their day getting ready with their entourage. The girls, of course spent the majority of their time actually getting ready (with help from MHD Beauty), while the boys spent their morning hanging out and then getting ready.
First Look
After the couple was finished getting ready, they did their first look. The couple’s faces were priceless when they saw each other for the first time. They were truly delighted! It was even more special to have the big day at their new home.
Blake got his bride a beautiful pearl necklace and helped her get it on after their first look.
Wedding Party
Alex had six of her closest friends as her bridesmaids for support on her big day. Then, Blake had five people most dear to him to stand by him. The lady’s dresses were gorgeous, and their soft, neutral color worked well with the simplicity of their bouquets. Also, the groomsmen’s navy tuxes paired so nicely with the lady’s dresses. They were such a stunning wedding party!
Ceremony Details
The entry table for the ceremony was very beautiful. Between the welcome sign, the calendar guest book, the pot of flowers, and all of the greenery spread around, it was very welcoming! The arch was very simple, but absolutely lovely. It was decorated with white flowers and greenery, along with a white drapery covering it. Though all of the flowers, arch, and welcome table were beautiful, our favorite part was the lights that hung from the tree. It was a very simply elegant ceremony.
Ceremony
The ceremony began with the mothers and grandparents of the couple entering. After they were seated, the bridesmaids and groomsmen made their way to the alter, following the two flower girls. Once everyone was in place, the bride entered in a mustang convertible! She was then ready to walk down the aisle to marry the love of her life. It was a beautiful ceremony filled with tears and laughter.
Reception Details
Following the ceremony, everyone anxiously awaited their opportunity to enjoy the celebration that followed. The reception was held in the couple’s backyard! The cake looked absolutely delicious (done by Oh Crumbs Bakery) as well as the grooms cake that his mom made! The tables were decorated with white candles and greenery. Also, there were thank you notes folded up in the napkins sitting on the place settings. Their suitcase card box was particularly creative.
Reception
Following the ceremony, the tent where the reception was held filled up with guests who were ready for the party to begin. They began the reception with a blessing, and then the guests were open to a buffet of good food from Chuy’s. Once everyone was finished eating, there was the cake cutting, toasts, and then the couple shared their first dance. After that, they had their father/daughter and mother/son dances, and then everyone was invited to the dance floor. Later in the evening the couple did a floating lantern send off, which we thought was so fun and unique. After the bouquet and garter toss, the couple said their goodbyes and were off!
We were so glad, once again to be a part of this wonderful day for Alex and Blake. We could not have pulled it off without the help of all of our vendors. So, we say thank you to everyone who helped make this day possible!
