Amanda and Ben held a beautiful outdoor wedding at The Barn at Ashland City Farms. The couple’s color palette complimentes Tennessee’s fall scenery perfectly with vibrant shades of orange, lavender, eggplant purple, fuchsia, ivory, and green in their floral arrangements and decor.
Getting Ready
First, Amanda and her bridesmaids get ready at an AirBnB. Once Amanda’s makeup is complete, a crystal headpiece is arranged behind her braids. The remainder of Amanda’s long blonde hair cascades over her shoulders in curls. The end of a teasing comb is used to help tame any unruly strands to ensure a picture-perfect hairdo.
The embellishments on Amanda’s heels and her additional accessories match her stunning headpiece, while the color of the shoe matches the ivory ribbon on Amanda’s dress.
Next, Amanda’s matching necklace and earrings are positioned next to the burnt orange wedding invitations to capture the reality of it finally being her Big Day.
Amanda and her bridesmaids’ dresses are hung in front of the barn to be photographed on their monogrammed hangers. Amanda’s dress is a stunning lace gown with a sweetheart neckline. To compliment the silk ribbon around the waist of Amanda’s wedding dress, each of the bridesmaids’ hangers have a matching ribbon tied in a delicate bow.
Ben’s ensemble consists of a light grey suit, white button-up shirt, and chestnut-colored dress shoes. Ben’s tie and suspenders are in the same eggplant shade as his soon-to-be-wife’s bridesmaid dresses.
With his button properly tucked in, Ben is ready to go.
Amanda gets some help tying her ribbon to complete her own wedding day look. Once the finishing touches are complete, the bridal party heads to the barn.
First Look
To kickstart the first of many wedding photos together, the couple share a First Look at their venue. Both break into a huge smile as they see each other for the first time on their special October day.
Bride and Groom Photos
Amanda and Ben then go into their bride and groom shoot. Amanda’s exquisite bouquet provides the perfect pop of color among the Tennessee scenery. Similarly, the trees in the background are kissed by the fall with their own shades of green, orange, and burgundy.
A couple portraits are taken of Amanda to capture her complete wedding day look.
Wedding Party Photos
Next, the bridesmaids and groomsmen join Amanda and Ben for pictures of the wedding party.
The floral arrangements in the bouquets and boutonnieres compliment the wedding party’s ensembles perfectly.
All of Ben’s groomsmen have the same eggplant-color tie with the white button-up and light grey suit to match Ben.
Amusingly, Ben and his groomsmen are wearing fun, Halloween-themed socks to reflect the vibes that the month of October brings.
Ceremony Details
The ceremony’s floral arrangements consist of the same flowers in the bouquets and boutonnieres. Additionally, the blankets for the ceremony benches stay within this color palette.
Wedding Ceremony
As Amanda walks down the aisle with her father, she can’t help but beam at her groom.
With the seal of their loving kiss, Amanda and Ben are officially husband and wife!
Reception Details
For cocktail hour, eggplant ties are in a big bow around the cocktail high tops. Assembled on top are mason jars consisting of different heights and tints, each with a candle inside.
Amanda and Ben’s entrance table has lanterns and three mini orange pumpkins with “A,” “&,” and “B” carved into each one, resting atop tall gold holders with fall-colored leaves. There is also a guest book and polaroid film waiting to be filled with memories.
The escort cards have fall designs printed at the top to match the theme. Also, each card is held by a mini gold pumpkin!
At the reception, arrangements of flowers are placed in vases on top of a thin wood slab. Candles in mason jars surround the centerpiece and provide a warm ambiance to contrast the eggplant linens.
The plates and water glasses have a gold rim, which matches the gold flatware. Each charger plate rests on an ivory napkin in a tri-fold that cascades over the edge of the table at each place setting.
As a wedding favor, each guest is given a mini jar filled with red, orange, yellow, and brown M&Ms.
Amanda and Ben have a four-tier cake with textured lines. Orange and burgundy flowers with greenery stagger on each layer. Their cake topper includes fun elements, such as a male and female ghost with mini pumpkins.
Amanda and Ben have many tasty options for their buffet-style dinner.
Another fun element the couple included are glow sticks. The glow sticks are placed in mason jars on a cocktail high top with a sign that reads, “Let love GLOW!”
Wedding Reception Highlights
Immediately following cocktail hour, the full wedding party makes their grand entrance. Their officiant, Reverend Richard Coldwell, recites a prayer and then the buffet opens.
Concluding dinner, Amanda and Ben sneak off to capture some photos together as husband and wife.
Finally, to conclude their couple shoot, Amanda and Ben find a little Tennessee creek in the vegetated woods to capture some loving photos.
Returning from their shoot, three toasts are shared with the couple. Amanda and Ben show their euphoria with a kiss.
Next, Amanda and Ben go into their first dance together as husband and wife. Following this, Amanda dances with her father and Ben dances with his mother. Concluding these dances, the dance floor is open for all guests to dance and have a fun time.
As the night carries on, the air gets more chilled. However, a hot beverage station is set up on the patio to provide a source of warmth.
The bride and groom pose in front of their delicious-looking cake before making the first cut.
The rest of the night consists of eating late night snacks, drinks from the bar or hot beverage station, mingling, dancing, laughing, and smiling. Luckily, many of these moments were caught on camera for the memories to be recalled in years to come!
To conclude their special evening, the newlyweds pose in front of the barn. The lights from inside the barn gleam past the couple to join the string lights in illuminating the night sky.
We wish you both the best, thank you for letting us be a part of your wedding!
