There’s something to be said about the magic of fall in Tennessee. The leaves hold onto the trees until well into November and the warm weather sticks around as long as possible. Last November, we were lucky enough to help plan the wedding of Bria and John, two active military members planning long distance . . . very long distance! John has been stationed in Italy while Bria lives in England. Their wedding was the perfect nod to their lives both together and separate and all the friends they’ve made along the way. Just wait until you see how they cut the cake! Keep scrolling for all the drool-worthy pictures.
Getting Ready
Stationed at a nearby AirBnB, Bria and her best gals spent the morning getting ready with the amazing team from Blush and Honey.
There were snacks, laughs, and tons of beautiful flowers.
Bria and John thought of every detail for the day. It truly represented the two of them and their fun personalities . . . as well as the city of Nashville!

Bria’s dress for the big day was simple and beautiful, just like her. With a little help from her sister, she was ready to marry the man of her dreams.

How stunning is our bride-to-be?

Not to be outdone, the groom was looking pretty sharp! John wore a blue-gray suit with a soft pink tie.

First Look & Couple Photos
These two were as cool as cucumbers all day, but couldn’t hold back the emotion and excitement when it was finally time to see each other for the first time. It’s impossible to deny the love these two share for each other.

A smile was never far from their faces!

Bria’s bouquet brought the perfect splash of color to add to the day. It was full of blues, pinks, and corals.

That’s the look of love if we’ve ever seen it! (HINT: We’ve seen it a lot!)

Wedding Party Photos
Our happy couple couldn’t have the day of their dreams without their best friends and family.
With the wedding at a local brewery, the guys couldn’t wait to indulge in some of the beers on tap.

Here they are in their happy place . . . surrounded by beer!

The ladies looked stunning in their dark slate dresses. We love the look of different styles that make all the ladies feel beautiful.

Check out that full group of happy faces!

Ceremony Details
Bria and John wed in front of friends and family and this beautiful floral arch!

Guests came from far and wide to celebrate with Bria and John as illustrated by this amazing map!

Ceremony
As the sun began to set, it was time to get these two hitched! Bria and her mom made their way down the aisle to an anxious and excited groom.

John may be a tough military man, but he’s a true softie! We love a tearful groom!

After vows, laughs, and a few tears, it was time for these two to make it official!

Reception Details
After a cocktail hour at sunset, Bria and John’s guest were welcome into the brewery for a reception of beautiful fall florals and floating candles!

Each table was labeled with a song that has shaped their relationship. Such a fun idea when you’re getting married in Music City!

How sweet are these little details?

Reception
A grand entrance from the Gibsons kicked off the reception festivities!

They kicked off the party with a magical first dance.

When you’re in the military, how else would you cut a cake then with a naval sword?

They danced, drank, and ate until it was time to say goodbye to the party and hello to wedded bliss.

We were fortunate enough to spend a year with Bria and John planning the day of their dreams. We feel so lucky to have been a small part of their big day!
