Katy and Tim’s Nashville wedding took place on a gorgeous Tennessee fall day – September 24, 2016. Their elegant cathedral ceremony followed by a unique and earthy golf course reception fit perfectly for a couple deeply in love. For Katy and her closest gal pals, the big day starts bright an early with the VIP (more like VIB!) treatment with a simply elegant look by Eye Do Makeup & Hair. Their incredible team of hairstylists and makeup artists came in and gave each of the girls a unique look guaranteed to stand up to the Tennessee summer weather!
First Look
After slipping in to her head-to-toe white lace gown, Katy and Tim were reunited for their First Look at the Cathedral of Incarnation in downtown Nashville. In a truly touching moment in this beautiful church, the couple was finally able to see each other before becoming man and wife.
After a lot of smiles and a few tears, the bride and groom were joined by the rest of their bridal party for a photoshoot with Street Light Republic.
The Wedding Party
Katy’s handsome groom Tim was accompanied by seven of his closest men, dressed in classic slate grey suits, light gray accents, and glossed black shoes.
The bridesmaids’ lace-accented dresses perfectly complimented the bride. A truly floral and lace wedding – fresh bouquets by Enchanted Florist were the perfect match to the rosy blush color scheme.
Tim’s white neck tie and pocket square were the perfect mate to his beautiful, blushing bride.
The Ceremony
The ceremony commences right on schedule at 2 PM. Katy’s royal cathedral veil was the finishing touch for such a majestic setting. After the exchange of rings and I do’s the Mr. and Mrs. were now official!
Cocktail Hour
The newly crowned Mr. and Mrs. Hawkins hopped a trolley their wedding party for some drinks in the Gulch while everyone else headed over to the cocktail hour. It was time for the newlyweds to finally relax and enjoy the fun-filled night ahead!
While the sun set into it’s “magic hour”, the newlyweds and their bridal party snuck in a few more shots on the golf course grounds. The setting could not have been more perfect! What a beautiful fall day for a southern wedding!
The ladies couldn’t help but let loose during their turn in front of the camera. Katy and Tim were surrounded by such a fun group of friends and family on their big day! And yes, we’re still drooling over those stunning bouquets. Just wait till you see what the rest of the florals looked like!
The Vision in White Team repurposed the bouquets as centerpieces at the reception. We always take the extra step to maximize every detail of your day! Wooded accents, votives, and a sky full of stars, adding an earthy charm to the evening.
To top it all off, this impressive four-tiered wedding cake was the star of the reception. Skillfully handmade by Signature Cakes by Vicki, the fondant lace and floral details are breathtakingly realistic . . . and just as delicious as it looks!
An unconventional guestbook is always a Vision in White favorite. Katy and Tim chose a jigsaw puzzle for their guests to personalize. This is such a sweet idea and a great way to get everyone involved!
Drapes, candles, and chandeliers added an elegant yet warm atmosphere, setting a romantic mood for the newlyweds to share a loving night with their closest family and friends.
Tim and Katy’s first dance was played by Rick Ryan Entertainment who really knew how to keep the party going all night long. Once dances and toasts were checked off the list, it was time to get the party started!
We were incredibly honored to be a part of Katy and Tim’s special day. From florals and lace to moonlit slow dances on the golf course, it was surely a day for the books. We hope the celebration of two wonderful people kicked off a lifetime of everyday celebrations of each other. We wish the happiest of marriages to you!
