Rounding out the end of a fabulous year (meaning 2019, definitely not 2020), we have the recap of Kristin and William’s wedding at the Nashville Public Library and reception at The Parthenon. You’ll love this classy event and their hilarious cake topper!
Official Wedding Ceremony
Their day actually started with the official ceremony in Beaman Park since a friend of theirs was officiating the ceremony later that afternoon. They decided to make it official that morning before the preparations for the rest of the day began.
A quick hug goodbye before they went their separate ways until the ceremony that afternoon!
Getting Ready
The girls started hair and makeup in their suite at the Thompson Hotel. With some snacks and champagne, they had a great, low key morning just hanging out.

Once hair and makeup was all finished, Kristin changed out of her monogrammed robe and into her wedding gown. With the help from mom, she was all zipped in and ready to go!

Bride and Groom Photos
Kristin and William opted to do a first look. With the wedding being in December, there isn’t much daylight and after the ceremony it would be completely dark outside. The library has tons of beautiful and unique places to take photos.

You can’t go wrong with a classic white bouquet of roses, ranunculus and eucalyptus!

Wedding Party
Kristin and William chose to keep their wedding party small with just one of their closest people standing up with them.

Ceremony Details
We ran with the library theme for the ceremony including old library checkout cards for the guests to leave advice for the couple on. These were displayed in old card catalog drawers. Personalized pens and ceremony programs were displayed on the same table.

The aisle in the Grand Reading Room was lined with lanterns and greenery leading up to the chuppah at the altar that was adorned with William’s tallit (prayer shawl).

Wedding Ceremony Highlights
Then the time arrived for the guests to take their seats and get ready for the processional. Kristin was escorted down the aisle by her father, while William watched in awe.

After the “I Do’s”, Kristin and William shared a stomp to break the glass while the guests yelled “Mazel Tov!” as William kissed his bride.

Reception Details
Following the ceremony, the guests were taken to The Parthenon to begin cocktail hour while the newlyweds took some family photos. They were greeted with a welcome sign, guest book photo of The Parthenon and a seating chart.

After cocktail hour, guests went upstairs to the reception space and were welcomed by a 40′ gold statue of Athena! The tables were set with ivory linen with black, silver and gold accents.

The bridal bouquet was added to the vase once they were all finished with photos. A great way to save some money and reuse items!

The menu cards were a quick reference for the guests to see what their meal would be and the seating cards designated what their meal choice was with a gold chicken, cow or fish. Of course the bride and groom got to have both because they were the stars of the night!

The lanterns from the ceremony aisle were placed on the long tables once planner, Alex arrived with them.

In the back section of the reception space was the bar, lounge area and dessert!

Remember that cake topper I mentioned? They chose to get figurings of the people they dressed up as for Halloween that year, Ruth Bader Ginsburg and WWE Wrestler The Ultimate Warrior. These were displayed on top of their rice krispie cake!

Reception Highlights
After a couple quick shots in front of the Parthenon, the couple was introduced into the party.

Once the bride and groom arrived, everyone was seated for dinner service. During dinner, the best man, maid of honor and father of the bride did their toasts which caused both laughs and tears (happy of course!).

The newlyweds then cut their cake and went onto the dance floor to share their first dance. Following that was the parent dances and an open dance floor!

And of course they did the horah!

With an exit of ribbon wands, the new Mr. and Mrs. were off!

Kristin and William, we loved being part of your day. We wish you all the success in the world as you go through life together!
