For the Vision in White Team, we will remember September 25th, 2016 as Michelle and Chris’s grandeur symphony ceremony and reception at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center in the heart of downtown Nashville. This magnificently formal occasion was a profound declaration of love and devotion with the closest of family and friends. The vintage accents and neutral colors complimented the natural beauty of the couple’s love and grand venue. You don’t want to miss this unique and extravagant Nashville Wedding Recap.
Getting Ready
Every wedding say starts with a dress. Michelle’s was as classic as they come! Her radiantly white, off-the-shoulder gown was the centerpiece of the wedding.
Michelle and Chris started the most special day with letters and a gift exchange for each other. With great anticipation, soon-to-be Mr. and Mrs. King began getting ready!
First Look
With dress and veil on, and a beaming smile Michelle was descended the grand staircase of the symphony center to unite with her very soon-to-be husband. High Five for Love photography snapped photos while the couple embraced and visited before their ceremony.
Such a grand venue calls for a grand couple! The gorgeous couple couldn’t have chosen a better venue to match their personality and style.
The Wedding Party
Beaming from ear to ear, we could tell Michelle felt as flawless as she looked! Her gorgeous curls and pop of bright red lipstick to match her classic style was carefully designed by the artists of One 10 Beauty.
The bridesmaids donned in all black with undertones of white complimented the groomsmen. Their matching up-do’s and jewelry put the finishing touches on the classiest girl squad in Nashville.
Groom Chris was as a dapper as can be dressed in a white blazer with black detailing. The contrast of the opposite colors in his lapel, pockets, boutonniere, and bow tie set Chris apart from his groomsmen, and perfectly complimented his bride.
Ceremony Details
Both the ceremony and reception took place at the magnificent Schermerhorn Symphony Center. The strong ivory columns, cascading chandeliers, and balconies called for minimal yet tasteful decor. One of the most breathtaking venues in the city, the Symphony Center is a Vision in White favorite.
As guest gathered around, they were welcomed by ceremony programs and a sachet of flower petals to shower the bride and groom during the recessional. These small custom-made personal touches can be the most important element to the flow and feel of a perfectly executed wedding.
Bride Michelle designed her own floral arrangements and bouquets. We loved working with her to create an original touch that matched her creative vision and style with neutral faux flowers, feathers, and greens.
Symphony Ceremony
Music and vows of marriage echoed through the grandeur halls throughout the ceremony. Even in a truly formal occasion, the familiar sense of joy and devotion to each other was clear and comforting. From beginning to end, the ceremony displayed their love in the beauty surrounding them.
Videographer Needle & Thread was sure to capture every precious moment of their day from vows to “I do”s. Their story is just beginning!
After two “I do”s and a smooch, Mr. and Mrs. King are showered in rose petals and walking on clouds! After the ceremony, the night is free for celebration, music, dancing, and a lifetime of joy and laughter!
Reception Details
After the ceremony and cocktail hour at the Schermerhorn, the guests and bridal party gathered in the adding outdoor courtyard. In the heart of downtown Nashville, the courtyard was an oasis of romance and bliss in the city on a southern fall afternoon. A perfectly sunny day, the contrast of the historical architecture with modern skyscrapers gave the courtyard a feel of intrigue and romance, a hidden gem in the heart of the city. You’d never guess honkey tonk and cowboy boots just a block over!
Across the courtyard, vintage accents in the detailed decor expressed an intentional purpose and love for detail that can only be found in a Vision in White wedding. Picture frames donned every table along with thank you notes and homemade sweet treats for guests to take home as a memento of Chris and Michelle’s special day.
We were sure to include Michelle’s handmade florals into the receptions centerpieces and details. Every piece of decor in neutral colors enhanced the natural beauty of the sunlit courtyard.
Reception
The reception started right on schedule at 5:30pm, just in time for a romantic sunset glow to fill the Schermerhorn courtyard. The newly pronounced Mr. and Mrs. King shared their first dance as man and wife to “Chances Are” by Johnny Mathis.
With the Craig Duncan Band starting the party, the couple danced their magical, musical night away in starting with touching and heartfelt father/daughter and mother/son dances. The music and dancing lasted into the night!
Michelle and Chris took a loving moment to thank their friends and family for joining in the celebration of their love and marriage. Such a sweet and funny couple, the two were clearly made for each other!
That’s it for this real Nashville Wedding Recap! Michelle and Chris’s gorgeous day was one we will remember. We wish the happiest of ever afters to you, Mr. & Mrs. King!
Have a Happily Ever After Michelle & Chris!
