Bess and Matt were wed on April 23rd, 2016. The ceremony and reception took place at Fairvue Plantation in Gallatin, Tennessee. The Plantation provided the perfect space for an outdoor wedding on beautiful sunny Saturday evening.
Bess wore a long white satin dress with a bateau neckline and bow accent on the front. She accompanied the dress with white flats and drop diamond earrings. Her boutique was an arrangement of white flowers and greenery while the bridesmaids carried an assortmant of pink and purple flowers.
Once the couple was dressed they met for their first look in the courtyard. Matt waited patiently while Bess made her way down to meet him. After a beautiful greeting, the two enjoyed some couple shots before the wedding party came to join them.
The bridesmaids were dress in a short satin teal dress with a bateau neckline to match Bess’. The girl’s boutiques were wrapped in a teal ribbon that matches their dresses as well. The men chose to match their black suits with fun black and white socks and matching bowties, except for Matt, who wore a white bowtie.
Guests gathered around the lake at 5:30pm to watch the ceremony between Bess and Matt. The aisle was lined with large arrangements of flowers that matched the bridesmaids boutiques.
The reception was held just across the pool from the ceremony and was not short of flowers. Each table had a different arrangement of white, pink, purple, and green flowers that all coordinated with the bridesmaids dresses and boutiques.
Onces cocktail hour concluded the couple joined their guest at the reception and had their first dance. Bess and Matt had their own sweetheart table decorated with a “Mr & Mrs” sign and a black and white runner to match the rest of their guest tables.
After enjoying dinner and mingling with friends Matt and Bess went to cut their cake. They had a four tier cake with a simple design and the couples new monogram “H” on the sounds tier. Flowers lined the base of the cake and also served at the cake topper. After cutting the cake some of Bess and Matt’s friends and family shared a toast to honor the couple and their marriage. Following the toasts Bess and her father shares a father-daunter dance and then opened the dance floor to the rest of the guests.
The night ended with a sparkler exit at 10:45pm to send the couple off to the next chapter of their life!
