On September 1st, we were privileged to be a part of Amanda and Jordan’s wedding day! Their love story is beautiful, and we felt lucky to be a part of their special day. Their wedding is sure to kick off a lifetime of pure happiness!
Getting Ready
The bride and her bridesmaids got ready for the wedding at the Horton Building. The bridal party enjoyed sipping prosecco, and eating rosé gummy bears as their hair and make-up were done by Leslie Ellis. We couldn’t help but swoon over Amanda’s nude heels, balancing the glitz and glam of her dress and accessories.
Later that afternoon, Amanda’s groom Jordan and his groomsmen, arrived. Jordan’s black vest was a small detail that made his outfit incredibly classy. We loved his outfit’s deep red and black color schemes.
First Look
We can not get over Amanda’s first look with her father. Most often first looks take place between the bride and her future husband. But Amanda shared this special moment with her father instead – there wasn’t a dry eye watching this and seeing the love he has for his baby girl.
Ceremony Details
Amanda and Jordan’s ceremony was held at Scarritt Bennett’s Labyrinth. The ceremony was sweet, and secluded under an elevated tent (a last minute add on from Hurricane Harvey rolling through). The wedding party and guest list was a smaller size, which made the ceremony much more intimate. While weather had been a bit gloomy, the sun peaked through just in time for the bride and groom to say “I do”.
Ceremony
The ceremony was touching, and allowed guests to know the ins and outs of Amanda and Jordan’s love story. We couldn’t help but smile over the way Jordan looked at Amanda, his beautiful bride. For the newlyweds, their rainy-day kiss was something out of a fairytale.
The Bride and Groom
Amanda and Jordan’s wedding went seamlessly. Their photos turned out stunning, incorporating umbrellas into the rainy day shoot. Their photos were unique and showed off their incredible love for each other. We loved the pops of color in Amanda’s bouquet, and their terrific attitudes about the unexpected weather!
Amanda and Jordan did a unity balloon during their ceremony. The couple had a lock they locked together, that they kept to themselves. Then, they tied the keys for the lock to some balloons, sending the balloon off so their love lock could never be broken. It was funny to watch as the balloon struggled to take off, due to the crazy weather! Eventually the balloon floated away, leaving many laughing and smiling.
Wedding Party
The wedding party’s photos turned out wonderfully! Amanda’s bridesmaids wore natural colors to compliment the bride. Each with their own bouquet, smaller versions of Amanda’s. We particularly love how they used an urban setting in their wedding photos. It was a perfect backdrop for this couple, and their bridal party. The groomsmen opting to not wear their jackets complimented Jordan’s light gray suit and bridesmaids’ dresses.
The use of clear umbrellas added class and uniqueness to the happy couple’s photos!
How cute are these groomsmen?! We love this awesome freeze-frame styled photo!
Reception Details
After the ceremony, the guests headed to the beautifully decorated Horton Building. The tables were adorned with ivory linens, and atop them was a spread of foliage and beautiful flowers from Fresh by Carryann. Amanda and Jordan added decorations that helped the guests learn more about their relationship, which was a nice touch to keep guests entertained during cocktail hour.
We loved the reception’s atmosphere. The exposed brick and string lighting set the mood for what would certainly be a fun, dance-filled evening!
Reception
The reception welcomed the bride and groom, and then the entertainment commenced! There was lively dancing the entire night, and incredibly tasty food from Wildberry Catering served family style. Every plate was empty by the end of the night. The bride and groom could not stop laughing and smiling the entire night, and it was evident this day would be one they’d reminisce on for many year to come.
Everyone got a kick out of the best man turning his speech into more of a story about how great he is than about the bride and groom (including taking a selfie). He was joking of course, but he got laughs out of everyone there and ended the speech talking about his love for the couple.
Amanda and Jordan, we wish you a lifetime of happiness and can’t wait to see you next time you visit Nashville!
