The wedding celebration for Nancy and Brandon was finally here! April 21, 2018 made for a special day for these two to begin the rest of their lives together! Their love for one another was contagious to all around, what special couple comes to mind for you when thinking of contagious love?
Getting Ready
This dress speaks volumes of Nancy’s fun and elegant personality! The sheer corset mid-section made for unique detailing in this dress!
Brandon definitely knew how to keep it cool, calm, and collected! This gentleman was so happy to be marrying his best friend!
Here at VIW we are big believers in making every little detail count, Nancy and Brandon definitely agreed with us! The small details were spot on for this lovely couple!
What better way to celebrate than with your girls and a few bottle of champagne?! Not to mention these adorable and fashionable pale pink robes!
First Look
This first look was an eye catcher, having the bridesmaids and the groomsmen there is not something that people traditionally chose to do but oh how it makes this moment that much more special! Everyone that you love and care about are there to share the love these two have for one another! Korean’s don’t follow the tradition of it being bad luck to see the bride before the wedding so they often arrive together. In Nancy and Brandon’s case they shared the hotel room the night before, spent most of the day getting ready together and only had the big reveal when they were fully ready!
Bride and Groom Photos
First things first, lets get those amazing shoes on, what a Cinderella moment!
The floating glass bulbs and terrariums at The Westin are stunning! This backdrop is not something you see everyday and brings out the simple but elegant details!
Most Korean brides do not buy wedding gowns. Instead, since women in Korea are similar size and like the same styles, rentals are a more cost effective option. A bride can instead rent 3-5 dresses that are worn between engagement photos and the wedding day for the cost of buying one dress. This is one of the best parts of a Korean wedding!
Wedding Party Photos
This wedding party knew how to bring the style and not to mention how photogenic everyone here is! The petal pink bridesmaids dresses are such great fashion piece as they match and coordinate so well with many different patterns and colors!
Ceremony Details
Tons of candles and rose petals lined the aisle way while a round oval chandelier hung from above with many different bulbs pointing in every direction. The entrance to the aisle had a beautiful floral arrangement on a pedestal. A customized welcome sign and classic programs rounded out the ceremony decor.
Ceremony
Korean wedding traditions include the mothers taking a bow to each other as they get to their seats.
Here comes the bride! Nancy and her father shared a special moment laughing and enjoying this moment with one another!
Written down on a piece of paper these two shared words with one another in front of everyone they loved.
From this day forward that this moment allows, these two have become one and will share a life of happiness together!
Reception Details
If you look closely, you can get a glimpse of some of the other dresses Nancy had in her rented collection. There’s another one coming up too!
This dessert table is everything you’re looking for and more, from cake pops to cupcakes and rice krispie treats!
The mostly white table arrangements made by Vision In White Events brought a peek of the petal pink into the room tying everything together!
Placing the head table in front of the dance floor is always a fun spot because it is off to itself allowing the bride and groom to usually get a few more bites of food in and also allows them to have front row seats to everyones dance moves!
Name card placements at the head table were taken up a notch! These cursive wooden signs are perfect!
Reception
Nancy came to the reception in another stunning dress but this time going for mermaid style. Look at Brandon’s face, he’s SO happy!
Toasts began and everyone in the room felt the love shared between the most important people in Nancy and Brandon’s lives.
Another of our favorite Korean traditions is the bouquet and garter toss addition of MONEY! That’s right, the father of the bride and groom “donate” money to go along with catching the bouquet or garter. I’m not sure if the reasoning is so that people WANT to catch these items (where in America, most people are too embarrassed to even go out on the dance floor for it) but it worked! The dance floor was packed while the bride tossed a bouquet with $100 in it from her father and the groom added in $500 from his father for catching the garter.
Happy as can be these two took the moment of cake cutting to enjoy the moment! Not to mention this cake that brings in a pop of color as well with the different color and size balls on each level!
And then they danced the night away! Everyone in the room was on their feet at some point during the night! The day went by like the blink of an eye but the memories will last forever!
Then to conclude there special and perfect day, Nancy and Brandon had a sparkler send off and made a quick kiss to end the night!
