We always love having the opportunity to work alongside amazing and talented vendors. We also love the chance to get to know vendors better through our vendor spotlights. This week, we are spotlighting Baked in Nashville. Keep scrolling to learn more about their company and baked goods!
What was your dream job growing up?
I don’t know that I ever had a dream job. I always loved horses and baking so I guess I assumed it would be something to do with one of them.
What does a typical wedding day look like for you?
Wedding day is pretty simple. It can get stressful if we have four or five cakes to deliver. Timing is super important (along with not slamming on the brakes while delivering)! The mid to end of the week is what is crazy for us getting everything finished for the weekend.
How did you get into the cake business?
Growing up in a family with six kids always going different ways (school, sports, extracurriculars, etc.), eating dinner together wasn’t always possible. So, often times, our family time was spent later in the evenings sharing some kind of treat. That time was always a special and important thing in our family and made me love dessert and baking! While in high school and college, I worked for a chocolate and pastry factory and fell even more in love with what they were doing. After working and training with some of the best pastry chefs in the world for over six years, I moved to Nashville and opened Baked in Nashville.
How long have you been in business? Why did you decide to start a business?
I have been in business for almost four years. The decision to open my own business started because I love the industry and helping clients provide a memorable experience for their guests (whether a wedding, party or corporate event). I also now have three employees who have been such a special thing to experience as a business owner. Providing jobs to crazy talented people is both inspiring and humbling because I would not be able to run my business without them!
What is your favorite part of a wedding day/event day?
The best part is getting to put the final touches on the cake (normally fresh flowers) and then seeing the couple’s reaction once it’s all set up.
What is your favorite cake flavor?
My favorite cake flavor is either a simple chocolate cake with vanilla buttercream or yellow cake with mini chocolate chips. Our most popular flavors, though, are almond and strawberries and cream (which are both also very delicious!).
What would the most extravagant cake that you could dream up look like?
Probably something with lots of gold and intricate piping. We’ve had the opportunity to do some pretty amazing cakes and use our creativity which is always super fun!
Who would be your dream celebrity to create a cake for?
Sebastian Stan or Pekka Rinne.
If you could go anywhere tomorrow, where would you go?
Europe because I’ve never been!

Thank you for giving us the opportunity to get to know your company and also your delicious work! Check out their website for more information. More images are below!
