If you’re looking for a band to rock your socks off, look no further than Burning Las Vegas! We’ve had the pleasure of working with them and watching them keep a crowd dancing all night long. Recently, we chatted with the band’s leader, Brian DuNard, about how they came together and have been rocking Nashville’s wedding scene. If you’re still in the market for some great wedding entertainment, check them out!
What was your dream job growing up?
Being a musician.
What does a typical wedding day look like for you and the band?
Because we carry more production than most bands we like to be at venue 3 hours before we have to be set-up. We offer everything from minimal production to full blown arena production that includes trussing, draping, pixel-mapping lighting, moving fixtures and ground packages.
How did you get into the music business?
I’ve had bands since I was a teenager. When I was finishing my degree at MTSU I started a band to play bars and clubs. It was this band that became Burning Las Vegas.
How long have you been in business as a wedding band? Why did you decide to start a Burning Las Vegas?
I’ve had bands since the early 90’s and started Burning Las Vegas in 1997.
What is your favorite part of a wedding day/event day?
The moment the dance floor packs at every wedding reception. We expect it but always enjoy the moment it happens.
Who would be your dream celebrity or event to play for?
I don’t really have one. But it would be someone who genuinely enjoys music and has the best load-in! Lol
If you could go anywhere tomorrow, where would you go?
A secluded island beach with a stocked fridge and an amazing gas stove.
What is the most requested wedding song?
I don’t know that one sticks out but “I want You Back” always has one of the biggest reactions regardless of age.
