What was your dream job growing up?

Professional Guitarist

What does a typical wedding day look like for you?

Double checking all equipment and music preparations before heading out the door. Then checking with all team members to make sure they have all the information and equipment they need to carry out their service.

Then it’s early arrival on site to set up and test all music equipment. We check in with the coordinator to compare notes, answer questions, and be of service any way we can.

We normally provide music and AV for the ceremony then transition to the reception. We assist and MC with introductions of our beautiful couple and move on to the formal dances. Normally it’s a beautiful dinner with speeches or “toasts”, cake cutting, and packing out the dance floor!! Celebrating and dancing the remainder of the night with the newlyweds and their family and friends. At the end of the night we’ll send off the couple in style with their selected favorite song and give instructions on their departure.

We pack up and get ready to do it all over again the next day (speaking from a weekend perspective)

How did you get into the business?

I was getting married myself, actually. And I had musician friends play my ceremony, and my friend’s band play the reception. After further analysis I realized I could package these different services and offer them for weddings. That was the start. Then we expanded from there. Adding chamber players, photo booths, lighting, and many other services that benefit our wedding clients.

How long have you been in business? Why did you decide to start a business?

I started in 2012. I decided to start my own venture when I was tired of working for someone else. I was at my best, personally and professionally, when I had my name/company stamped on it. And having my own business allows me the opportunity to make it as big as I want it. I also felt there was a need for what we were offering and wanted to expand as much as possible.

What is your favorite part of a wedding day/event day?

A packed & hyped dance floor of everyone at the wedding! Celebrating the couple and seeing smiles, laughter, and knowing that our clients did in fact have the “best day of their lives”!

Who would be your dream celebrity to DJ for?

Jerry Seinfeld (just so I can meet him!)

What should a bride and groom look for or ask a potential DJ?

Many things, actually. They should check his/her experience, professionalism, reviews from past clients, and to make sure that they feel that the DJ is providing a great service with THEM in mind. It’s all about the client’s needs, not the DJ.

Questions to ask would be…

What’s the process of preparations leading up to the wedding?

What’s your backup plan if there’s an emergency and you can’t make it to the wedding?
