This month, instead of featuring an outside vendor, we wanted to provide a little insight to our floral and wedding design. Flowers add such an elegant touch to any event and we love getting to use our creative side here.
What was your dream job growing up?
When I was little, I wanted to be a marine biologist. I was obsessed with the Free Willy movie and after that, it was all I wanted to do when I grew up. Then as I got older, I thought it would be fun to be the manager of Cedar Point amusement park. I settled on Disney for a while which wasn’t a bad fall back.
What does a typical wedding day look like for you/the whole team?
Final prep of flowers in the morning, loading up the car(s), driving super slow so nothing tips over on the way then hitting the ground running when we arrive. Some days are more relaxed and easy than others. We present the bouquets to the bride and then typically get centerpieces set. All depends on the venue and whether we are inside or outside.
How did you get into the business?
After many years of planning weddings and a spending some time helping out a local florist, we decided to take the plunge and start doing them on our own! We love the chance to bring our creativity out in this area of weddings and thought “what better way to bring the design to life than to make it ourselves!”.
How long have you been in business?
7 years in Nashville, dabbled in it a little before moving here too!
What is your favorite part of a wedding day/event day?
Flower wise – when everything is set! Planning wise – after the bride gets down the aisle.
What is your favorite type of arrangement to create?
The large arrangements that are typically for an altar. I like the depth and height that is required with them.
What would be your dream event to design for be?
Oh gosh, I’d like to say a celeb wedding but that would be a lot of pressure. I’d love to do a beach wedding!

Jessica Simpson or Carrie Underwood
If you could go anywhere tomorrow, where would you go?
Australia and New Zealand are next on the list 🙂
